Dear Monsieur Guarino,

I forgot to mention when we spoke that I had seen many students from the SMI program participating in last week’s welcome events at the ARC and Aztec Lanes, as well as attending the most recent basketball game and viewing the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade that was held in downtown San Diego. Many are also clearly making use of the gym on a regular basis.

It’s a pleasure to see students so engaged, on and off campus, and of course we hope this serves to complement their academic work and enhance the overall quality of the experience.

Please let us know if we can do anything to further assist in supporting the extracurricular involvement of the SMI participants.
